Thrift store pillows make me happy.

Purchased at three different thrift stores, these pillows were meant to live together.

I have always been attracted to embroidery and needlepoint work – so when I come across pillows such as these – I snap them up straight away. One thing I recommend is to purchase pillows with a zipper sewn into the cover – so it can be washed or dry cleaned and the filling can be replaced. I purchase new pillow inserts from fabric stores and Pottery Barn.

Quite happily, I scored this kilim pillow at the Salvation Army for $3.00.

My favorite - I don't think I paid more than a dollar for this one - and it's incredibly well done and the colors are perfect.
