20-Second Snowflake Lights

You can crank this out in under a minute – I punched out some paper snowflakes and slipped them over a plain strand of white lights.

Using a snowflake paper punch and a few pages from an old book, a plain strand of white holiday lights are looking a little brighter.

I used a Martha Stewart brand snowflake punch from Michaels.

This shape is perfect, it has a center opening that fits over the bulb. Be sure to push the paper past the bulb – you don't want the paper touching the bulb.

Not sure paper would hold up very well in rain or snow if used for outside lights. I think it would get soft and fold over . Some thing more weather proof would be great for this idea. Or use only indoors. Love the look.
