Check Out My Candy Cane Garden & Enter For a Chance to Win a $50 Dollar Tree Gift Card

This is a sponsored post. I wrote this as part of a paid campaign with Dollar Tree’s Value Seekers Club & Blueprint Social. Opinions are my own.

One of my favorite go-to spots for good deals on fun stuff and crafting inspiration, Dollar Tree, recently asked me to try out one of their craft tutorials from their  Value Seekers Club. Dollar Tree’s Value Seekers Club is a free customer loyalty program full of craft projects, recipes and décor ideas that can all be created with Dollar Tree products. Dollar Tree’s Value Seekers Club also hosts members-only contests, gives exclusive product sneak peeks, and offers first-to-buy opportunities. Since all Dollar Tree products only cost $1.00 each, you can create a lot for very little. I took a look at their projects and chose to make their “Magic Candy Cane Seeds” (trick the kids into thinking you’re growing candy canes from a pot of sugar). I added my own twist to the project by using mini candy canes and jumbo candy canes and topping the sugar with gumdrops. This project is quick, inexpensive and has a clever twist – check out Dollar Tree’s Seekers Club to see how it’s made and find out the fun details that make it so special for the kids.

I like this project from Dollar Tree Value Seekers Club – everything I used to create this fun candy cane garden was purchased at Dollar Tree. It's easy to make, looks great as a centerpiece and carries a fun little surprise for the kids. Check their site for the how-to.

Growing candy canes — I changed the project slightly by having the kids plant mini candy canes in a pot of sugar. Be sure to line the pot with tin foil or plastic wrap first.

The next day, they see that their candy canes have grown!
