DIY Cordless Lighting Trick

The other day, when I was adding batteries to my cordless electric candles, I accidentally unscrewed the candle off of the base. A lightbulb went on over my head and this idea was born…

Here's a great trick to create cordless ambient lighting for an evening party – unscrew the candle from the base of an electric cordless candle and place in a wall sconce.

This sconce is meant to hold wax candles, but I feel it is fire hazard and I never light them. Now I can have soft light on my walls and I can hang these anywhere.

For this you will need: a wall sconce and two battery operated candles (available at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $2.99 each).

Unscrew candle from base and insert in wall sconce.
