I found long stem pumpkins at my local garden center this year. This thrilled me – as I choose pumpkins mostly for their stems anyway. I was inspired to show off this lovely curve so, I kept things simple and just sliced the side off, cleaned the core out and dropped a candle in it. Resting it on its side helps to make the look even more interesting.
I sharpened my knife before I started cutting to get a clean edge and I used a large stainless steel spoon to clean out the inside.
I’m listening to Blur today.
