“The Hollow Ground” Book Giveaway

I’m am very excited to be offering this book giveaway for you today because it is my cousin’s first published novel and it’s utterly fantastic! XO, Camilla

Enter for a chance to win a hard copy or audio book version of the novel, "The Hollow Ground" from Natalie S. Harnett.

The Hollow Ground from Natalie S. Harnett is a historical fiction novel, set during the coal mine fires of Pennsylvania during the 1960’s (I was surprised to learn that these underground fires still burn today and have since forced the residents of Centralia to abandon their homes). The story is told from the voice of Brigid Howley, an 11-year-old girl who struggles to live in this unstable environment with her equally unstable family. When her aunt is killed by the coal fire, her life is turned upside down and she must move away from her lifelong home. With this new town comes new possibilities but also hardship and disappointment. Follow along as Bridgid moves through her troubled world to eventually uncover an old family secret.

Enter for a chance to win! I have 5 hard copies and 5 audio books to give away. To enter, just leave your contact info in the “comments” section of this post or email me directly at One entry per person. Deadline for entry is May 16, 2014. Winners will be drawn at random and contacted via email. Good Luck!

This books sounds very interesting. We’d often drive from Michigan through this part of PA on our way to my inlaws. So very sad to see the skeleton of the town that remains – and to see the smoke escaping through the storm water drains in the streets. Thanks for the opportunity to win this book~ Sounds like a wonderful read.
