Vacation Shopping

When I’m on vacation I always try to fit in a quick visit to a local resale shop or antique mall. Recently, on a trip to Michigan, I picked up a few treasures that I am really excited about…

This glass footed bowl has the clean, modern look I love and it has a light green tint to it that makes it even more special. I decorate with fruit as much as I do with flowers, so – I am always on the look out for big & interesting bowls. Priced at $30.00 – I couldn't pass this up.

This beautiful bronze bust of an African woman caught my eye straight away. Also priced at $30.00 – I knew it had to be mine. A signature on the back allowed me to do a quick Google search to discover that it is an Eames era lamp base; the previous owner removed the lamp parts. I prefer it this way.
