Yarn Pine Cones

Pine cones wrapped in yarn make an easy and colorful holiday display…

Yarn pine cones from Family Chic.

Grab your leftover yarn and a bag of pine cones and start wrapping. These make great gift toppers too.

We made a bunch of these and tucked them into different spots around the house.

Start at the base and wrap yarn around cone - pull yarn deep into the crevices. The tighter part of the pine cone will hold the yarn in place - no need for glue.

Our pine cone stash was transformed into pinecone pompom trees by gluing small pompoms around the pine cone. They are so cute, but I did find one lone pine cone that we didn’t do anything with. I have just the right color yarn for this project to make it into a yarn wrapped pine cone. I am going to set my daughter up with this project.. hopefully it will help her manage her excitement for Christmas. She told me today she is kinda tired of waiting for Christmas to finally get here 🙂
