This easy molded paper wrap is a great way to dress up a pot of perennials either to give as a gift or use as a centerpiece. All you’ll need for this is a potted plant, a paper grocery bag, some water and the sun…
Paper grocery bags can be molded into great looking pot covers.
Grab a few of your favorite perennials, I used Japanese Golden Sedum, and a paper grocery bag.
Cut out a square piece of paper that will cover all sides of your pot when wrapped.
Run your piece of paper under water on both sides; just enough to wet the surface, do not to make it so soggy that it tears easily.
Wrap pot in wet paper and secure with a rubber band, set in sun to dry. On a hot day this can take about 10 minutes. Once paper is dry, remove rubber band and you're done.
Ready to give as a gift or set on the table.
Your molded paper planter will hold its shape well. Remove plant when watering.
