A few easy steps and my $10.00 thrift store find was transformed.
Before.
I lightly sanded the table and wiped down with a cloth. I used wood glue to apply wooden knobs around surface and decorative wood appliqués to front. I finished with 3 coats of paint (Benjamin Moore – China White Advance, Semi-Gloss).
