You can pick up a box of glass votive holders at craft stores and Pier 1 Imports.

I used a 24 gauge gold beading wire (available in the jewelry supply section of most craft stores).

Pull wire through two holes of a button - keep stringing on buttons this way. Wrap wire around glass votive holder, twist ends together to secure.

I love the simplicity! Bet it would look nice if you extended the wire around the glass a little, too, just for variartion.
