Coconut Catchall

Happy Friday! Hope your day is off to a good start. It’s raining here and a bit chilly, but I’m having a lovely morning so far. I’m enjoying the soothing sound of raindrops on the windows and a hot cup of tea while the kids are still asleep.

Here’s a quick project for you today – try making a catchall bowl out of a coconut cup…

I was hoping to make something that looked like a piece of handmade pottery. I found coconut cups at Party City for about $3.00 each; their organic shape caught my eye, so I got a few and decided to paint them.

For this project you will need: a coconut cup, two colors of craft paint and a paintbrush.

Paint a few coats on the outside of the cup and paint the interior a contrasting color.

Something to catch my jewelry when I have to do dishes or a messy project.

Happy to be getting some much-needed rain today.

    D’oh!! (best Homer Simpson voice)
Why didn’t I think of that?
Obviously there is no way I could source coconut cups (obvious because all the stuff that tickles my fancy is invariably unavailable) but when finishing this comment, I shall educate myself on those gadgies and how to DIY them.
Fantastic look, I need those in my life!
