Turn an old cutting board into a work of art with a few coats of chalkboard paint.

Give your board a quick sanding, wipe it clean and tape off your area.

Cover with a few coats of chalkboard paint, allow to dry and remove tape.

Let your kids work up a design. This is an easy way to display their artwork - you can prop it up or hang it anywhere and change it up as often as you like.

Use one of your old cutting boards for this or check your local resale shop.

Lovely idea. Some of my chopping boards could do with a new purpose in life and I love this!

Awesome upcycle! I love the fact that it was a cutting board and still has good use in the kitchen! You should totally enter this project in Craftbaby’s ‘Upcycle Challenge’! http://www.craftbaby.com/contests/3/upcycle-it-sweeps
