I purchased a silver-plated candlestick at the Salvation Army for $3.50 and gave it a funky makeover with some zebra print Duck brand tape.
I applied the tape in short strips, working from top to bottom.
The wrinkles add an interesting texture.
A glass vase leftover from a Mother's Day arrangement was begging for the "zebra treatment". Again, I added strips of tape working from top to bottom. So easy.
Dooooooode!!!! What a flippin great idea. I have been experimenting with duct tape too, but never thought of THIS. Man, I missed the boat on this one. Good work!

Loving your duct tape ideas! My best effort was an upgraded planter…http://www.lettuceshare.com/2010/11/03/cheap-container-gardening-duct-tape-planters/

Mary Claire,
Ratatat is the best – I love to have their music on while I am working – it puts me in a creative mood. 🙂 Camilla
