Use a mesh lemon bag to wrap a small gift or party favor.

To make this you will need a mesh lemon bag.

Tear off the paper label, but be sure to keep the original stitching in place - this is what keeps the bottom of the bag closed.

Choose your fabric for the trim - I used a paper fabric that I picked up at Joanns Fabric and Craft Stores. It's like a really thick paper towel.

Cut out a piece of fabric that is roughly the same size as the original label and fold it over the closed end of the bag. Using a glue gun, attach fabric.

Place your gift inside and close top with a plastic bread bag tag.

Catie – that is a great idea – I’ve been thinking about a design for a bag that I could make for produce at the supermarket – I hate those plastic bags. This would be a great option – thanks for the idea! C

Yay! Love this, which is little surprise – I’ve enjoyed all of your ideas for gift wrapping so far. I tried something like this last year (http://www.thegiftedblog.com/2010/02/wrap-story-farm-fresh-gift-wrap.html), but I like how you added the patterned cloth on yours.

We always try to re-use our bags… produce bags are also great to act as a hammock to hold up heavy fruit in the garden.
