Easy Apple Wreath Centerpiece

When I’m pulling together a centerpiece for our table, I often check the produce section for inspiration. Apples, clementines, artichokes, grapes, etc., can all bring color, life and an unexpected beauty to your table setting. You can make this one in under a minute and you can even arrange it on a small tray and bring it as a hostess gift in lieu of flowers…

For this project you will need: a 12-inch grapevine wreath ($3.50 at craft stores), toothpicks, a bag of apples, green foliage (get a few clippings from your yard or buy some filler leaves at the supermarket), a candle and glass cylinder vase.

Begin by inserting a toothpick halfway into the base of an apple.

Stick the apple into the grapevine wreath. The toothpick should fit snuggly between the openings in the wreath. Make sure your placement is stable. You don’t want wobbly apples.

Insert apples all the way around the wreath. Add greenery in between. Place candle in center.

You could also use herb clippings as your greenery — Rosemary looks beautiful with lemons or clementines.

Works great with pears too!
