Party Hat Favor Cones

These are fun - party hats filled with candy and small toys!

The hats are filled with treats and sealed with tissue paper.

Just tear the tissue to open.

For this project you will need: Party hats, candy and small toys (all from Party City), tissue paper, pom-poms, scissors and a hot glue gun (craft stores).

Place hat down on tissue paper and trace out a circle that is one inch larger than the hat (I used a salad plate as my guide). Cut it out.

Fill party hat with goodies - top off with crumpled tissue paper. Be sure to keep the hat's chin strap tucked inside.

Place filled hat down onto tissue paper circle. My tissue paper was lighter on one side, so I attached it with the darker side facing out.

Draw a line of glue around the outside of the hat. Fold paper on to glue line to adhere. Work in 2-inch sections.

Hot glue pom-pom on top.

Each one took me about 3 minutes to make.

You can add a name tag and place one on each plate.

You could use different color combinations to make these for work for any holiday (black & orange, green & red or red, white & blue, etc.).
