Plant Jewelry

Vintage rhinestone pins are wired to wooden skewers to create unique decorative picks for my houseplants.

This is a great way to dress up a houseplant to give as a gift or as a party favor.

To make these you will need: wire (I used a 24 gauge gold wire - available in the jewelry supply aisle of craft stores), a wire clipper, wooden skewers and vintage pins.

Wrap wire around back of pin and then wrap the other end of the wire around wooden skewer. Cut skewer down to desired height, stick into soil.

I’m listening to Julian Casablancas today.

Thanks Adrienne! You could also use an earring that has lost its mate. Have a great day! Take Care, Camilla

I have two full bags of button covers from the 80’s that I have been hesitant to throw away. I am going to use this idea with those! Thanks so much!

What a wonderful idea! I’ll have to make jewelry decorations for my plants, too. I have made some combinataion Christmas ornament/pendants. But it has been a while.
