Here’s the thing with cutting up old sweaters to use in your craft projects — you end up with a lot of small sweater bits around. That’s when you find yourself making a sweater garland…
Leftover bits of felted sweaters are sewn together to create a decorative garland.
Felt the sweater first by washing in hot water and drying in the dryer.
Cut out the shapes you like and plan your pattern. I like the stitches to show, so I used a contrasting thread.
Place your first piece of sweater under the foot of your machine and begin sewing. Add on pieces as you reach the edge of the previous piece. You could also hand sew these together if you prefer - just run a straight stitch through all of your pieces.
Easy!!
