It’s that time of year when I love to bring natural objects indoors to create a rustic and warm look around the home. This garland is so easy to make. Best of all – no glue is required, so you can reuse your feathers for another project or arrangement…
Pheasant feathers are pierced through thick yarn to create a dramatic garland in seconds.
You will need thick yarn and feathers with sturdy quills. Just poke the quills into the yarn. The feathers will stay in place. When removing the feathers, be sure to pull up with the grain of the feathers to keep them in good condition for future use.
Happy to have contributed this idea to Better Homes & Gardens Fall Decorating issue 2017.
