Pinning Down A New Look
Monday, December 14th, 2009
3 rhinestone pins add holiday sparkle to a simple corduroy skirt.

I chose pins similar in size, style and color. This works best on a thicker skirt material such as denim or corduroy.
A few things to consider regarding this idea – if you are around very young children – don’t try this. Toddlers will grab at the pins or accidentally scratch themselves on them. Also – choose pins with a smooth setting - you don’t want to snag the lining of your coat.
Rip Off This Skirt Idea
Saturday, September 19th, 2009I found this great skirt in a thrift store. I loved the pattern and the fabric, but the length was too long. Making a cut at my desired length, I gently pulled the threads to create a rough fringe along the bottom. In an instant, I had the look I wanted.

Interesting floral patterns always grab my eye.

With a simple top - the look stays crisp instead of messy.

With this type of edge - dry cleaning is the only option.
