Clothespin Heart Wreath

This is a wonderful project for children – it is super easy. You can pick up bags of clothespins at your local home improvement store, dollar store or supermarket.

This Valentine's Day wreath is a great activity to do with the kids.

Bend a wire hanger into a heart shape.

Clip clothespins onto hanger.

Clip a message onto your wreath. I used a piece of wood that I painted with chalkboard paint (from my clementine crate project), but you could also clip on a message written on paper - or a ribbon.

For instructions on how to make a chalkboard sign – look here.

A few days ago, my daughters heard this song for the first time – they fell in love with it instantly (a welcomed break from Katy Perry).

I just love this wreath idea! I saw another crafty lady try it out and wanted to come back to the source and say, “job well done!” I’ll be trying this with my daughter for sure. We’ve got some grubby leftover clothespins from last summer so we’ll probably throw some paint on them first, I can’t wait to have this hanging in my kitchen!

    Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I think this is going in my laundry room to actually hold clothes pins- sweet AND functional! 🙂 Will need to think of something clever to write on chalk board. (I like how its held in place by pins.)

Also thinking the basic wire form could also be used to tie 4-6inch strips of pink, red, white tulle or fabric to get heart shape. still easy for kids…. Got here via Pinterest. Love your site.
