Glowing Balloon Centerpiece (Video Tutorial)

When it comes to creating a centerpiece for a child’s party, flowers and candles won’t cut it. Kids like things that they can touch, are different and fun. Here’s how I made the illuminated balloon centerpiece for our recent garage disco party. (Trouble viewing it here? See it on YouTube)

"Awesome!", is what every kid says when they see it for the first time -- which makes me feel really good.

This centerpiece is incredibly easy to make - you can do it in under 5 minutes.

For this project you will need: water balloons, bright white battery operated LED lights and a glass globe (all purchased at Party City).

It is important that you use the bright white LED lights (left) rather than the standard ones (right) - they are brighter and illuminate the balloons more effectively.
