Car S’mores

"It was good and it was fun" - a direct quote from my daughter. Yesterday we made s'mores in my car. It's as simple as that.

Set up each child with a sheet of aluminum foil, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers.

Assemble ingredients and wrap in foil.

Place s'mores in a hot car for 15- 20 minutes.

Kids love to experiment like this - so much more interesting than making s'mores the traditional way.

      Erika-
Those are Kraft Stacker-Mallows made specifically for s’mores. I got mine at my supermarket (Jewel-Osco). I’d never seen them before- they’re great for this.

Love your site! So fun. We are soooo making these Car S’mores this week. In AZ we prob only need to leave them in the car for 5 min! haha. S’mores are my favorite and this sounds fun♥

Cara – Yes! Those are fantastic – my kids love those. They aren’t available all year long – so you have to grab them when they are on the shelves – which is the summertime.
      Thanks, C

Now this is a clever idea! We just made s’mores this way (wrapped in foil that is) for a camping trip a couple of weeks ago – we heated them in foil on the grill because there were fire restrictions and we couldn’t have a campfire. Living in Arizona where ones car becomes unbearably hot after a few minutes in the sun makes this idea totally do-able for me! Thanks for the fun twist on this yummy treat idea!

Thanks Deb! This is also so much better than turning on the oven on a hot day! 🙂 Take Care, Camilla

Girl, you are rocking my world this morning! How did I not see this? This is the best idea ever! I was just taking photos of some smores last weekend for an unrelated post….now I’m going to need to try another batch in the car. Sigh. Sacrifice…

OH I sooo love this! We usually just roast the marshmellows over our grill but I’m nervous the whole time because of the flame and 3 small kids, and they don’t like it when the marshmellow gets burned LOL. During the day I don’t have a car to use so I guess we could just wrap it in foil and set it in our hot black top drive way! It gets SUPER Hot in the summer! Gonna have to give it a try.
