Fabric Can Planter

A fabric-covered soup can is turned into a cheerful Valentine’s Day planter…

Use leftover fabric and a set of alphabet rubber stamps to turn a soup can into a fun planter for your Valentine.

Check the floral section of your grocery store for potted Miniature Daffodils; I got mine for $2.99 at Dominick's.

Remove daffodils from pot and place directly into can. Using a hot glue gun, cover can in fabric. Cut out a heart shape from a piece of muslin and stamp it with your message using an ink pad and alphabet rubber stamp set.

Using embroidery thread, I outlined the edge of the heart with a straight stitch.

Attach muslin heart to fabric-covered can with a hot glue gun. Be sure to apply the glue underneath the stitched outline of the heart so the glue does not show through the muslin.
