Easter Basket Food Cloche

Create colorful and easy food cloches from inexpensive Easter baskets…

Easter baskets come in so many fun colors and shapes - I had to experiment with other uses for them, so I came up with these easy food covers.

Family Chic

To begin, use a pair of utility scissors to cut off the handle from your basket.

Family Chic

Tie on a strap of brightly-colored suede cord (available at craft stores) to the bottom of the basket to create a handle.

Turn your basket upside down and use as a protective cover for food when eating outdoors. If you're bringing a dish to a party - add a few of these to your presentation -- they make great hostess gifts.

I’m always looking for ways to cover food at our summer parties! I’ll definitely use this! They also look like light shades…and since I have hanging lights at the parties, they could match the food covers!
