Get the colors you really want on those store-bought Easter lights with a quick cover up…
A set of pastel colored plastic eggs lights are papered over to cast a brighter hue.
I like the fact that I was able to create a textured, handmade look.
I picked up these Easter lights in the dollar spot at Target. The price was right and I liked the idea of them, but not the color; I'm not a huge fan of pastels.
To create this look you will need: Mod Podge, tissue paper and a sponge brush.
Brush egg with Mod Podge.
Tear tissue paper into small pieces and apply to egg. Using your fingers, gently tap the tissue paper down so it lays flat. Continue until egg is covered, overlapping as you go along.
We hung these along the top of our china closet.
