I chose pins similar in size, style and color. This works best on a thicker skirt material such as denim or corduroy.

A few things to consider regarding this idea – if you are around very young children – don’t try this. Toddlers will grab at the pins or accidentally scratch themselves on them. Also – choose pins with a smooth setting –  you don’t want to snag the lining of your coat.
